Marc Gené, fourth in Spa, has his mind in Le Mans

Team Peugeot Total's final full-scale dress rehearsal ahead of the 2010 Le Mans 24 Hours ended in the squad's fourth straight one-two finish, with Spa-Francorchamps providing the backdrop to a race that was particularly rich in valuable lessons, dramatic turnarounds and heart-stopping thrills.

Marc Gené and his team mates Alex Wurz and Anthony Davidson finished fourth in the 1.000 km of Spa. His colleagues Lamy, Bourdais and Pagenaud won the race followed by the other Peugeot with Montagny and Sarrazin.

Marc Gené was happy with the result in a race where the rain was the main player: “Although a win is always better, I think the result is good and Peugeot one-two shows that our car is still at the top. The wet conditions meant an extra effort and a great rehearsal for Le Mans where we have not had any water yet. I think the team worked well and we were able to test various components and strategies ahead of Le Mans.

Unfortunately the Spaniard missed the race at the Circuit de Catalunya: "I have followed it closely via internet and TV. It is a pity that the only race I will miss this year with my team Ferrari coincides with the Spanish GP."

Le Mans 24 Hours will take place on 12 and 13 June.
