We have a very intensive season and I only want to start the show, the competition in Australia to know exactly where we in comparison to our main competitors. This year, I will be combining again my tasks as Ferrari test driver and Peugeot´s official driver and I look forward to adding more successes with my two teams.
At Ferrari we know we did a good preseason and we arrive in Australia with the perfect settings for the car. It was not very difficult to forget Abu Dhabi, since the two weeks later we were already preparing the car for 2011 and I am very optimistic and pleased with the work done so far. Both Alonso and Massa have set good times and the reliability of the car seems to be our strongest point again. However, with so many technical innovations, it is difficult to know where we really are. We do not know where Red Bull, McLaren or Mercedes are, but it appears that the current world champions have been preparing this season very hard and will be very fast again. At the moment, in Ferrari there is a great atmosphere with a highly integrated and motivated Alonso, and Massa who also wants to be champion and has adapted well to the new Pirelli tires.
With regards to Peugeot, we are fully committed to Le Mans. We have worked very hard to win again our title after losing it last year. We have a new car, although we maintain the name 908 of its predecessor, and new rules, but tests so far have been very positive. I'm fully recovered from the accident suffered before Christmas. Also, the Sebring race this weekend has helped us to realise that we can fight for it. The human group that integrates the Peugeot team is exceptional and I am happy to repeat team with Alex (Wurz) and Anthony (Davidson).
And for the second consecutive year, I will continue broadcasting the races on la Sexta. I love being a technical commentator and get into the skin of the viewer. I think it is a privilege to share my passion with the Spanish spectators. Working with Lobato, Nira and Jacobo is a pleasure and being in Ferrari, allows me to get inside information to share with everyone. See you soon!
