Last Sunday, 11 September was held at Silverstone the fifth round of the International Le Mans Series (ILMS) with victory by Simon Pagenaud and Sebastien Bourdais driving number 7 Peugeot 908. The race was again very competitive between Audi and Peugeot, but the French team won the race and continues leading the Championship with only two races remaining.
The next race will be precisely at the end of September at Road Atlanta, Petit Le Mans, where Marc Gené will join ORECA Team with Nicolas Minassian and Nicolas Lapierre. This luxury squad wants to repeat the success of a car, the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP No.10, which has already won Sebring 12 Hours. The three drivers know very well the Road Atlanta circuit and the fact that Minassian and Gené join the ORECA Team demonstrates the great partnership that exists between ORECA and Peugeot.
Marc returns to the competition very motivated and anxious to win: We know it will be a tough race, but we have our options. We know each other very well as we were already together in 2007 when we raced for the first time with the Peugeot 908 in Monza. The three of us have also raced at Road Atlanta before so we all know the circuit well.
